The purpose of 4-H Youth Development is to help diverse young adults discover and develop their potential and grow into competent, contributing, and caring citizens.
Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento
Young people need to know that someone cares about them. Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
YouthWORKS offers homework and tutoring support, life skills education, and recreational opportunities in safe, structured environments It is a fun and dynamic after-school program for teens which fosters the development of academic and other skills necessary for future employment and success. The program currently operates at Oak Park Community Center, Hiram Johnson High School, and Sacramento High School.
The Sacramento Food Bank educates the illiterate, feeds the hungry, houses the homeless, and clothes the poor. If you are looking for a way to help out the community the food bank would love to hear from you.
Safe in Sacramento
SAFE in Sacramento is a program that helps pay for services and activities for youth who need financial assistance. Grants are awarded to eligible students from participating schools for school activities.
